Looking forward (already) to Wednesday club ride. One of my cycling friends moved back to California but is visiting this week and will be riding with us. He's the one who took me on an epic ride up Mt Diablo a couple years ago. He said where he lives he is still riding in shorts and short sleeves. I told him he won't be needing them here.

Speaking of truckstops, I finally got to see one of the trucker's chapels that were featured in a documentary I saw a few years ago. It was a few weeks ago in Laramie, WY.

As an on/off Saints fan, that ending yesterday was painful to watch. Especially considering the guy clearly stepped out of bounds, but thanks to a happy shoe color coincidence they couldn't overturn the ruling on the field.
As bad as the Saints were at the start of the season, if that call is made correctly they're sitting at 5-4 with a good shot at the playoffs.

Park's version is that he was very close but not out of bounds. Childhood ballerina training came in handy and he was on/using his toes to keep the flat of his foot clear of the line.

Whilst cycling at dusk I saw a house that already has Christmas lights out.

Seriously!
Kilogram
A watt balance which is being used to measure the Planck constant in terms of the international prototype kilogram.[32]
The definition of the kilogram is undergoing a fundamental change—the current definition defines the kilogram as being the mass of the international prototype kilogram which is an artifact, not a constant of nature[33] while the new definition relates it to the equivalent energy of a photon via the Planck constant.
Current definition: The kilogram is the unit of mass; it is equal to the mass of the international prototype of the kilogram.
Proposed definition: The kilogram, kg, is the unit of mass; its magnitude is set by fixing the numerical value of the Planck constant to be equal to exactly 6.62606X×10−34 when it is expressed in the unit s−1·m2·kg, which is equal to J·s.
One consequence of this change is that the new definition makes the definition of the kilogram dependent on the definitions of the second and the metre.
