Just got rollers today....Amazing
So today I picked up a well used set of Kreitler rollers for cheap. I tried them out when I got home....I throwing away/selling my trainer. Im sold on rollers now. Screw trainers.....That is all.

Welcome to the roller club!
I've had 3 sets of rollers, the latest set are Kreitlers, like yours. Kreitlers are so well made, you'll probably have them for the rest of your life.
Winter in this area prevents riding due to ice, snow and salt on the road, so rollers are the only way to go, IMO. Just remember to set up a fan in front of the rollers to keep sweat from dripping on your bike and rollers.

I enjoy rollers as well, enjoy! I would say though that if you are training hard looking at power, hard intervals, etc you may want to keep your other trainer for some workouts. I do hope to make my rollers the 90% solution though

And as you can see by perusing other recent roller threads, you can add resistance very cheaply with eddy current magnets. I really like having resistance. Then I can do everything except hill sprints on them.

you roller guys are making me feel bad about my new trainer purchase! I was on the fence about which way to go and finally decided on the trainer. I tried rollers many eons ago and really wanted to get a set. However I am really loving the workout I get on my trainer. I guess a set of rollers is still on my shopping list.....

I have been using my same set of Kreitler rollers since 1991. Well made! I have the Killer Head Wind unit for cooling me and providing resistance. Love them.

Yeah, I may keep the trainer for a little while longer. But I really can't see myself using it much anymore. Rollers are less boring for me because I have to pay attention. Another big plus to using rollers is that I can use my track bike on it. My trainer cant use any bike that doesnt have a skewer.

However, my rollers pretty much scare the bajeebers of me at the moment and even reaching for my water bottle at the moment isn't happening. I usually ride with my helmet on 'cause I have no idea what'll happen if I accidentally ride off the edge.

Watching the racers lean through the corners makes me lean, too, since I ride motorcycles. Anyway, I broke off a carbon fiber seat post. It's probably a good thing it didn't happen on the road! The LBS put the clamp on backwards and weakened the seatpost when the bike was new. Anyway, I already had a 27.2mm aluminum post and put it on. I was back on the rollers in a half hour or so.

Interesting that she's pedaling a low cadence and going rather slowly. Slow is harder for me. Also interesting to see all the momentum in those alu drums. I have plastic drums and resistance. If I stop pedaling, the bike stops.
