Not enough people contributing enough money and other resoures in order to allow the large number of messages by those not contributing.

Seriously though, if the forum was limited to paying members, the volume of messages would be low enought to be very functional... But, I appreciate Joe's efforts to keep the site available for everyone. In support of that, I accept some delays even though I have contributed, I think the value provided by Joe and the community is worth the money and the minor delays.

yes I agree.Sometimes it gets a bit slow even with the search disabled.
Took so long a couple of times that it gave me the old page not found line...
