I probably would like to have the tsunehiro and frances bike the most, the Quixote bike probably has the most useful innovations for true cargo hauling.

the quixote, just because my favorite bike is a semi recumbent right now. because i just like fooling with bikes, the more unusual ones were most interesting to me. the winning bike just seemed like a nice regular bike. cargo bikes aren't really my thing though, so maybe i'm missing something.

i also wonder how much the race factored in. maybe a plainer bike had an advantage there, especially on the off road part. i know i hate even getting off the side of a bike path on my semirecumbent. or what they had to carry and/or the tasks that were mentioned. hope some youtube of it pops up eventually. i'd like to see it.

for loading cargo, the quixote and the retrotec longtail.
as a bike that i want to have, it's a tossup between Ahearn and Chris King's Cielo.

I have liked the Retrotec since I first saw it on his blog!

The Cielo looks like fun as well.

I think this is a GREAT show. Not only because builders built show bikes, but they also judged them by field testing them as well.

I think that blog gets it.
There were a few just show type bikes, but all/most would work.

Myself, I see nothing wrong with having a great looking cargo bike, as long as it works!
