coaster brake for nexus-alfine 8 IG

I know the old nexus inter-8 and the nexus 7 have them
I dug up an old (2007)BF commuting link that discussed the issue but never confirmed whether or not the coaster brake setup was available for or could be adapted to the later nexus-alfine 8 hub.
Anyone know?
Thanks

Don't know anything about the coaster brake but i have a nexus 7 with roller brake and i was having issues with it. It wasn't braking much. I opened it and realized i had put too much grease in it. After cleaning the brake is like new. Now it brakes as much as a disk brake and i must be careful not to block the rear wheel. The front wheel brake perfectly which is just enough to not block it.

The shells on the brake side of the hub don't look the same to me so I don't think you could fit a coaster brake on a Nexus hub that wasn't built for it. To be sure, you could look at an exploded diagram/parts list for each and see if the parts are the same (aside from the brake). Should be able to find them in the tech docs section on shimano's website.

Roller or rim brakes won't work for you?

Nexus 8 - Yes, https://www.shimano.com/publish/conte...1.-type-..html
Alfine 8 - No, only disk-brake.
