'Check out the immaculate Benotto headset' on this re-post. Immaculate because someone sprayed it over with yellow paint (as I suspected when it was first posted w/o closeups).

I've never seen a Campag crank that looks like that either...

-Kurt
The seller only says it has Campy dérailleurs and shifters.

Probably a straight blade fork messing with your mind (they was all the rage back in the day, I still have a Tange Switchblade somewhere in my garage). Check out this photo for an example: https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3254/...52f486.jpg?v=0

The copy in that ad is over the top though; there's no way in Hades that a Technium was a better MTB than a comparable C-dale!

Damn, your right. Looks almost like someone took a jump to hard and bent the forks forward. Glad you pointed that out.

+1, I have an early Mag-21 suspension fork that looks as bad if not worse.

Looks like an 80's schwinn that was spray painted yellow including forks and headset cups. Probably the guy had some benoto decals and said "eureka!".

Apparently "framesets" no longer include "forks":

$2000? Seems to forget that a 3-speed didn't sell on eBay for $150 recently - for that price, someone ought to pick up the De Rosa listed above him

Wouldn't the coolest kid on the block be the one with the hot BMX bike?

Wouldn't the dorkiest kid on the block be the one riding a 1969 bike that no kids are clamoring over, while his parents are sitting on the porch watching, reminiscing about their childhood?

Maybe mom and dad can help junior out with some fashion and music tips that will help them "reminisce."

Yeah, that oughtta do it.

Not necessarily a numbskull, and classic in name only, but wow!

Softride Classic TT 650 frame

Vision aero bars & Reynolds forks

powercranks

You'll need to borrow some tools from NASA to assemble it.

I've had my eye out for a Raleigh Twenty, so I was excited to see an ad for a Shopper. Then I remembered where I live.

Is it me or did this guy rattle can the crankset and pedals along with the frame? And, this "Single Speed" appears to be of the budget variety where the rider simply removes the derailers and shortens the chain, while leaving the rings/cogs intact. And, the mandatory removal of the back brake. I've been seeing that a lot lately here in Chicago.

With all these rear brakes being removed, you'd think there would be a container load of single levers and brakes on eBay, yet there aren't.

As I've said before, the ss/fg craze is clearly an Al Qaeda plot to stockpile and then ransom the world's entire supply of derailers and back brakes!

A nice ad is one thing. This is ridiculous.

I'm also scratching my head at how someone who needs a road bike could even remotely be sidetracked onto a hybrid...

Nice tail light placement, sure to be a "hit." It also looks like the headlight is pointing at the floor...

$350.00! "Rides very good." And how does the seller know that with the front wheel missing? Can you say, "STOLEN!"
