New to Texas

Just moved from West Virginia (which is mountain bike HEAVEN by the way...) to San Antonio Texas. I've been out of riding for a few years but used to ride constantly and actually had some skills to speak of at one time. I'm wanting to get back into riding but need some advice on where in Texas to ride, bike clubs to meet riders, bike shops in the San Antonio area, etc. If you have this information or are a rider who would like to hook up and ride together, shoot me an email. Thanks!

Welcome to BF's, and the great state of Texas! There are lots of Texas riders here on BF's, from S.Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and all points in all directions from those. There are often posts in the Southwest Regional forum about upcoming rides, etc.

I belong to the Austin Cycling Association and we have a "sister" organization in SA called The San Antonio Wheelmen. The two organizations actually put out a joint publication each month that has a lot of great info.

If your willing to go all the way to Austin try out the greenbelt. There is also some stuff in canyon lake as well as a little in san marcos.

If you get to the Dallas area check out www.dorba.org, we have over 250 miles of single track, 1600 members and some great events and races.
