I was restoring a Zeus missing its derailleurs and found these at a swap meet sponsored by Cascade bicycle club in Olympia, WA. Also, my Expedition Touring has Superbe brake levers, shift levers and crankset, Will try to get some good pics and add them to this thread. Included pic of the Zeus shift levers just because they are cool. Don

I contributed early in the post with a Superbe Pro set on a Pinarello. It was stripped and now is mounted on a Trek 760 that was a $100 purchase with a number of Campagnolo parts, a frankenbike. This was back in 2014. Just installed the Superbe Pro on it in the last couple of weeks. The frame is, well l.....
Rides incredibly well? And it is the lightest of my small collection.

Group does not include post, pedals or stem. Yes they are hidden springs and I can't believe how well they stop the bike. The best of all my single pivot brakes!
1984 760 with replacement 1985 fork found on the bay to replace a Giant unicrown fork that was on it.
This is my test bed for determining stem length and other fit tests since it matches the size of a couple of other bikes. It sports black Keo's now. 20lbs 11oz. with shorter stem and Keo's

I came across this thread tonight while searching for something else. As of last month, I have a bike that qualifies for this thread.
This bike was built up with Superbe in 1979. I think the only non Superbe parts are the seatpost and rear derailleur. All of it is in near new condition.
The Superbe rear derailleur was included with the bike, but never installed. The owner went with the Cyclone GT for more gearing options.

This perception is part of why these components are ignored by a lot of people. Personally, I really like the blockiness of the rear derailleurs. The XC pro short cage is a fantastic performing component, better in many ways than my modern Ultegra and Dura Ace derailleurs. I have an improvised superbe pro wheelset - an xc 9000 hub in the front and a Superbe Pro accushift 8 speed cassette in the rear. The gears are shifted with 7/8 speed Command Accushift levers. The cranks are dura ace 7410 with Salsa chainrings and Shimano Sante' chainring bolts. Front derailleur is SunTour Cyclone 7000. The chain is an 8 speed stainless steel Wipperman. The 8 speed rear cassette did not exist until a wide range 7 speed got an extra cog and spacer added to it to make it an 8. Not even the last version of accushift cog teeth. The cogs are cut straight with no ramps. Once adjusted, it shifts spot on, much more positive shifting than my other period index shifting bike.

At the time, Shimano meant 'planned obsolescence' to me in a way that seemed just rude. The Crane stuff wasn't that impressive anyway and Superbe came along--like jewelry. I wanted Campagnolo but this was cheaper and shifted a little better. Now Superbe is hard to come by and Nuovo Record can be cheap by comparison.

This Nishiki ONP was purchased new by my dad in 1977. When he passed in 1998, it joined my stable, but was mostly neglected until early 2020. I stripped the frame of its mish-mask of parts, and rebuilt it in the style it deserved - Suntour Superbe.

I'm still trying to figure out what this thing actually is (suggestions were made the frame might have been manufactured by Matsu****a / Panasonic), but it came equipped with Suntour Superbe / Pro components (excluding the seatpost, which was apparently stuck and removed by the original owner, and the handlebar, which is Kusuki Medallion). And the famous / infamous Suntour Superbe Pro decals with the hang glider. Anyhow, after few weeks of cleaning up, getting things unstuck etc. I have put it back together. Still a bit of work in progress but all works and works very well, so happy about it.

A set of Super Champion wheels with Superbe high flange hubs as found on a $50 clunker bike. I cleaned them up , tuned them, put new stickers and tires on the rims , and riding the heck out of them on my 1972 Mondia Special

I have a Cdn Talbot with Suntour Vx drivetrain but Superbe brakes (post count < 10 so can't post pics yet). At some point it lost its drop handlebars and brake levers which I assume would have been Superbe as well, too bad.
