Rapid Cycle
Can anyone help with this brand? I found this men's bike in a dumpster and did not recognize the maker.

Walmart aluminum framed, flat bar, single speed bone shaker. Weighed about 30 pounds and came in day=glo orange or black.

I know you can't post a picture until you get to 10 posts @Cycle Ready 1 perhaps you can post a picture to your personal gallery and someone can help if you let us know it is posted there. This sound interesting.

Thanks @dedhed .
Lugged frame, twin top tubes, cottered crank. Perhaps made in Europe??? Maybe Japan?
What is the name on the coaster brake?

I remember seeing something similar that was German made and the coaster brake is a German brand. That doesn't mean that it was made in Germany, but that it seem more likely.

A gallon of Evap-o-Rust + a leather saddle will yield a bicycle with more soul than the WalMart bike.

looks to be a contract manufactured product; possibly done by Bauer
appears 1950's era
someone should be along shortly to supply the name of the chainstore which employed the Rapid name at this era....

Thank you for a response. You are totally correct about the Bauer maker. I found some Bauer photos online and the same frame to a T. Hope to find out more on this mystery bike.
