Who's got a Titanium Quill Stem?
It seems like Ti quill stems are quite hard to find locally in Australia. Not many local Ti builders back then, and not many now. So finding a Ti quill is quite hard. I'm surprised I managed to find myself a fully original '97 Litespeed Classic, and a NOS American Classic post. Now finding a stem has been hard.
Does anyone have something lying around? I'm looking at something ~100mm with whatever clamp size, and possibly a polished finish, but can do with any other finish. Something like an Ibis, Grammo, Krystal, etc would be good. Let me know what you have. Thanks

Hi QV
I just finished a build with a Ti quill stem down here in the Great Southern Land. They are indeed as rare as hen's teeth. I needed a 100mm length and despite having a daily worldwide search going on Ebay it still took me a year - I was looking for an Ibis/Krystal or 3TTT Pro and not a Grammo which is not really to my taste. There was an 100mm Ibis but it literally sold in less than a hour after being listed. Like most rare stems the longer lengths seem to be a bit easier to find.
I found this link to a store that appears to have NOS stock of Grammos in both polished and matt finish - I didn't follow it up but worth a try. Price is up there but not near the highest I have seen asked.

Be patient.... Grammos come up fairly often for $75-125US with the top cap...considerably less without the cap.
Here's a 110 Dean: Dean Titanium Stem Quill 110mm | eBay
If any of the Ebay sellers refuse to ship International let me know...send it to me and then I'll send to you in Australia.

TiCycles in Portland Oregon could build you one. Its a standard item on their website. Not cheap but beautiful. And you get to choose the length and angle. Probably have some say in the clamp and you could have them bead blast the logo (which looks seriously cool! I've seen them.)

Damn, missed out on that Dean stem. Would've suited quite well.
but the prices of Grammo stems surprised me. id be happy to pay $50-$100 for one even without the cap. I guess CL is one place I didn't look at. I forgot that was the local classifieds over there. I'll try to keep an eye out, but if there's a 100mm or 110mm stem around, do link it here.

Just a touch too long for me. Thanks for the offer.
A Litespeed stem would be cool, matches my frame.

As much as you'd like to sell it for, and as much as I would like to pay.
It really depends on condition. I'll send you a PM.

The wait was shorter than expected. A dude up in Brisbane had this 3ttt stem in 110mm for sale for a very good price. So I grabbed that as well as a set of Forma bars in the Ti anodising. Matches my polished Litespeed Classoc very nicely.
So now it sits at 8.9kg. Sub 9kg built period correct.
