Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Visiting relatives in Granada Hills, I always liked the "gloom", otherwise I'd be baking in the sun.

where's my june gloom?

man, it's getting hot again.

got a day off and road around the valley with my buddy.

then ate Dan's Super Subs... really good subs btw.

did 34 miles in total... wanted to ride more but the heat was annoying me.

yeah, definitely... i will still commute to work even if it's super hot but i will not if it's raining.

but then again... work is only 4.5 miles away. if it's a lot longer, i would just use my sportbike if it's super hot.

+1. Today was perfect up here. Nice and cool, occasional short-lived downpour.

im not the best person to ask but i don't feel like it made me faster. it prolly did but im sure it's very marginal for me to notice at my level of cycling.

regarding ride quality... i have not changed my psi settings for my GP4kS 25c tires, still 85F and 90R, but i can definitely feel some improvement on ride quality.

it is good though, in a way, now i definitely don't feel any want/need for better wheels for the sake of improved performance since i know, im already using great wheels and great tires.

now, it may or may not still make me want new wheels but it will be only for aesthetics. lolz

went for 25 miler today w/ my drummer this time...

and i definitely don't think it's placebo... the 12% grade hill i climb on the way back from the park defnitely felt easier with the new velocity A23 wheels. SWEET!
