Low drop / Flared bars for 26mm stem (or 31.8mm quill stem?)
Hi all -
I am performing a component transplant from my newer Ritchey Swiss Cross (~2014) to a real old one (1996).
I REALLY like the flared bars on current bike. They are the Classic VentureMax from Ritchey and have just fantastic geometry for me both on the top and the drops. https://ritcheylogic.com/bike/handle...emax-handlebar
I am looking for either:
1. Bars like this that will fit a traditional 26mm quill stem
2. A 31.8mm quill stem that is not offensive looking. This looked to be a good solution but no longer available it seems: https://wearefactoryfive.com/products/titan-stem
3. Also sold out at the moment but I suppose an adapter like this could work? https://velo-orange.com/collections/...s-stem-adaptor

Whoa! Is that the correct link for your bars? I thought you were looking for something like Nitto 115.

Yes those are the bars that are on my current Richie. The bars came with the bike and I was frankly unaware of this style prior, but I really love everything about it.

I like the Nitto UI-12, but it has more of a mountain bike aesthetic than C&V.

I’m not sure if this is quite the bend the OP has in mind, but I really like the Deda Piega bars, which have a 26mm clamp:

How about the Soma Portola bar, widely flared but available in 26mm clamp?
https://www.somafab.com/archives/product/portola-bar
https://www.universalcycles.com/shop...s.php?id=78739
I have the 53cm wide version on my fixed-gear and it is plenty wide for a road-going bike.

You can still have the easy height adjustment of a quill stem, but you can access the whole rainbow of lengths and angles that are available in modern 31.8 stems, as well as all the bar shapes that they don't make in 25.6/26.
