It is. And Brattleboro allowing long term parking in their Transportation Center garage for $5/day adds to the convenience. I could have used Amtrak for the entire trip but wasn’t sure I could stomach the 11 hour ride back home. I’ve done it up to St. Albans twice. I like trains, but last time I got antsy.

I wonder when/if Pittsburgh, PA, will follow suit for GAP riders like Cumberland, MD, has at the east end of the trail. (Free, outdoor parking under the interstate.) Every couple of years there seems to be a thread here asking about long term parking in Pittsburgh.
