Should I Go or Should I Should I Stay?
It's not everyday a decent looking Bianchi suddenly pops up in my backyard for a good price, especially in a workable size. Pretty sure the RD is toast but it looks to at least have some salvagable parts.. the RD I mean. I think I have a NOS black Veloce around here that will likely be a good replacement. There isn't a good pic of the dropout so I can't tell if the hanger is broken. I think I'm going to go see it and offer $175 for it claiming It might not be possible to find a new 8spd RD for it. For some reason, the first three of these won't open the listing for me, just a "can't find it" message. So, for giggles, I found the first one listed (No. ending 2068) and it is big (64cm ctc) 1971 Bottechia for $100.00. Shipped. Check it out. Columbus frame (probably SP at this size). 120mm OLD rear end. It's in San Diego and UPS ground shipping is free. I am not in the market and have zero need for this - maybe less than zero - but for a C-note, it is sorely tempting. So please, someone remove the temptation. Pretty please?
