I'm glad you are posting these articles. I've become especially interested in the history of "gravel" bikes and the articles you've posted provide valuable contemporary insight. The internet can have such a strange, and short memory, so it's nice to have a counterbalance of information that was not readily available before.
Bianchi gets short shrift for being at the forefront of these sorts of bikes. The Volpe, Axis, and Project bikes are all foundational designs directly connected to modern gravel bikes. I wish there was more info on development of the bikes, and why they eventually fizzled out without really taking hold.

I had a '90 or '91 with Command levers about a decade ago. Would have kept it if it had been my size, but I remember making massive bank out of parting it out back then.
