Greetings, 86 Basso 'Lotto'. The frame was a nice present from my wife when she graduated college in Germany. Built it up with what I could afford on military pay: Some Campy, and some Zeus components. Recently replaced the original rims that however don't really fit the vintage look.
Regards

I just had a hand me down Peugeot while stationed there.

My Current Italians
Got this just this fall. Culmination of a long time dream and well worth the wait.
I've owned this one for around 43 years and its been apart for the last 23. It's in the basement now, waiting on a few small things to let me finish it up.
And this one. Another Bottecchia that I got last week. I really don't know what I'm going to do with it, but it seemed a decent deal so here it is.

My 1980s Faggin Campione del Mondo. I'm vaguely casting around to find a matching Mistral FD and shifters but that's pretty low on my list at the moment.
Aero-shaped Columbus SL tubing with Campagnolo dropouts; Ofmega Mistral crank and rear derailleur; Campagnolo Super Record front derailleur with Record shifters; Universal AER brakes and levers; low-flange Nuovo Tipo hubs with Super Champion Gentleman rims; Cinelli 1/A stem with Cinelli 66 Campione del Mondo bars; Campagnolo Nuovo Record seatpost and Concor saddle.

This almost exactly sounds like my line of thinking --- I'm on the road with my job a lot and stuck in hotel rooms, so out of boredom, I cruise the local CL's and ebay ---- I gotta quit that,

Mid 80s Sannino with original paint and chrome, replacement OEM stickers. Mostly Campy 8 speed Syncro era downtube shifter drive train and brakes, but other parts to get the fit and/or gearing I need (i.e. later era compact crank and modern seat post, stem and bars).

Yes I am - the Marastoni. I distinctly remember drooling over this bike when I first saw it.

Lynn, thats a beautiful bike. I always wondered; considering the extensive drillium (sp), how much weight has been reduced?

Pogliaghi and CV-6 have some very handsome machines.
I really like that black Bianchi… Black, Chrome… they go so well together.
Wish I could find a Black Cinelli SC from the 60's...
