What are your cycling goals for 2016?

Interocitor Command
My new year is getting off to a very bad start. I hurt my left knee 5 days ago and it doesn't seem to be improving. So it looks like I'm going to have to play it by ear.

1) Get my wife's Cannondale T800 back on the road. I've wrenched all I can myself and it's off to the bike shop on 1/4/16 for truing the wheels and a few other things I can't do myself.
2) Get my wife's Trek frame built up for her to ride.
3) Get my Jamis Aurora cleaned and re-lubed and ready for the road.
4) Get my Fuji S-10S back in shape (see #1 above)
5) Get my 6 year old a tag-along bike for my Trek 7100
6) Sell the Woodrup - found out at my lightest I will still be too heavy for this bike. It is NOT Clydesdale friendly.
7) Be healthy enough to ride this year after laying off two years now due to complications from an auto accident (broken neck).

My goal is to buy a 2016 Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 at the end of Winter. A decent upgrade to my Trek 7.3fx AL Hybrid that I currently use for road biking.
She will be mine. Oh yes. She will be mine.

-Century in 5 new states
-One international century
-12,000 miles

I have another idea in the back of my head, but I'm not ready to commit just yet.

Old La Honda. I am not sure a larger cassette would help. So that means more miles in the saddle and increasing the ratio of elevation to miles. A lot will depend on where I find employment and if/how-long the commute by bike is.
But generally, my goal is to attempt to maintain my new level of fitness and not put on any of the 30 pounds I worked hard to lose this year.
And while not a true goal..... make sure I don't screw up the next three platelet donations which will get me to 200 donations.

Last year I lost 26 kg. That wasn't the goal ... I set out to lose maybe about 10 kg or possibly 15 kg ... and ended up losing 26 kg. Therefore one of my 2016 goals is to lose my Christmas weight (yeah, I gained a kg or two), and then possibly another 2 kg so that I'm quite close to the bottom end of my normal BMI range.
My next goal will be to focus on getting strong ... building muscle ... building up my climbing skills and speed in cycling ...
I'd like to ride more than last year. In 2015, I did 3700 km. In 2016, I'd like to do more than that ... somewhere close to 5000 km would be nice.
Last year I said that I would like to climb Mt Wellington. We didn't manage to do that, so I'd like to do it this year.
I'd also like to cycle at least one 200K randonnee. If we could find a decent 300K, I'd like to do one of those as well, but unfortunately they aren't exactly plentiful around here.
We managed one short overnight tour on the last weekend of November 2015, and since we enjoyed that, we'd like to do at least one cycling tour of some length in 2016, maybe two ... or three.
I also walk ... cross-training. Last year I wanted to walk 1000 km and I finished the year with just over 1100 km. In 2016, I'd like to do that again. And actually ... if some of that walking distance could be running, that might be even better! We're doing some preliminary discussion about walking down to the beach, doing a short run there, and walking back some evenings. We're also chatting about acquiring a treadmill ... or rowing machine ... but we're kind of leaning toward the treadmill, I think. A few hikes of a decent length would also be nice. There's one up part of Mt Wellington I'm quite interested in.
We are sort of throwing around ideas of doing a CAM challenge, but I suspect that might be a bit too much pressure. I work full time and take two post-graduate university courses each year now. These courses have turned out to be a whole lot heavier than I had anticipated. My last one had me glued to my desk pretty much every evening and weekend for about 3 months. If I'm going to manage a century each month, I'm going to have to get a whole lot faster!! However, I would like to do several centuries in 2016. More than just two.

1) Semi commute to work, bike 20 miles of my 110 mile round trip, at least 3 days a week.
2) Get my average speed up to 16/17 mph.
3) Don't get hit by any cars.
4) Stay out of the hospital so I can ride. 2015 I pulled a groin muscle and lost my appendix, so there went the last 2 months of the cycling season that I'll never get back.

Main goal is 300 miles per month minimum. Next would be to improve all around, strength, speed, climbing and endurance.

last 15 pounds, 5000 miles on bike, 60,000 ft of total elevation climbed I'll likely readjust the climbing elevation, pulled it out of the air.
also: on bad weather, ice/heavy rain/just busy I want to get 2 30 minute sessions on the trainer.

My goals are simple ones with a theme of getting back into cycling after losing interest in it in 2015 (basically for time and stress issues).
1. Buy a new everyday bike to replace my hybrid. This is gated on a few non-cycling personal goals, so will be a reward instead of just a regular purchase. I have my eye on the Salsa Vaya X9, but it's also possible I'll get to that point and decide to keep the hybrid.
2. Do all of the major rides from my local cycling club except for the three multiday ones and the one or two that are specifically more fast-cyclist oriented.
3. More group rides. 2015 saw zero, so that's easy.
4. Ride all of the maintained paves and gravel trails in the area that I haven't previously ridden, with the exception of the gravel/dirt one that traverses the state. I don't think I'm ready for that.

Do more epic rides. 2015 was a 105mi 9k'. I'd like to ride from Portland ME to the top of cadillac mtn in acadia 160+mi with about 10k', and possibly Portland ME to Burlington vt 210mi with over 12k'

- Weigh 80 Kilograms instead of 104.
- Ride from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Santa Monica Pier.
- Safely reach my next (75[SUP]th[/SUP]) birthday at the end of December.
- Other stuff to be determined.
