Mid 1970s. Original finish. Not my favorite ride, but so pretty I hung it over my desk at work.

Vintage 1956, like me. I've owned it since 1972. Restored paint, original chrome. Great rider.

I'm not sure we should really call this a track bike. Back in the 30's when this bike was made, all 'racing bikes' were track bikes, so any wannabe racer who wanted a bike would get something more or less like a track bike. This is an entry level bike from a well known maker of track bikes. But whether it is a track bike, or whether you would prefer to regard it a "track bike shaped object, " here are some photos of my 1936 "Alvin," made by Alvin Drysdale's Velox Cycle Co of New York City.

I also have this:

but I don't know what it is. The decals say "Witcomb" and maybe it is a Witcomb, but I am not convinced. But it's a track bike frame, anyway, with track ends and round fork blades and no accommodations for cables anywhere. Fork and stay bridge are drilled for brakes, but I don't know if that's original.

Carré built piste, likely a Lejeune, so I marked it as such.

Tim (TS Isaac) built this for me in the mid to late 70's. The poor old girl has spent most of her life as a wall decoration.

From what I can see, your out of use track surface is in better shape than my local in use track.

Here's my early to mid 80's Lo-Pro track pursuit bike. Its a "Berretto" made by Brett Richardson in Brisbane, Australia. (I wonder how many bikes builders from the 80's that adopted an 'Italian' sounding name for their frames?) He isn't building bikes anymore and I think he stopped building frames around the mid 80's. From 'word of mouth' information, I understand Brett is now instructing new frame builders. Berretto's are quite sort after here in Australia.

It's a great bike to ride with a comfortable geometry. I just love getting on it for a careful ride along my local bike path. I have had it on the velodrome in the past and it was an easy bike get up to speed and to keep on line.
