Lugs have a thin wall, about 1.2mm, ideal for printing and almost too thin for machining. The stem has 3mm walls, ideal for machining, and gets pricey to print.

I don't recall that quote. It was 9 years ago. I did buy a single lug (top head tube) in 2017. It was $312. The box above, 21 parts total, was $445. The BB was the most expensive at $68. Not cheap, but I expect at least 160 hours of finishing. So it cost me $2.78/hour to have fun. Cheaper than a movie.
As for the pedals, I used MKS Touring bodies. I have a wide fat foot. Quills and toe clips are very uncomfortable to me.

Have you estimated the height of the pile of sandpaper you'll go through?
Looks like a different printing process from earlier test pieces. I don't see the "sedimentary" printing artifacts, these looke more "cast."
I'm still amazed at the 3D printing state of the art from when I was designing these kind of parts maybe 15 years ago. Costs have dropped significantly as well.

The Atelier has a large scrap bin for this very reason. As long as I stick to same bend, same material dimensions I'm pretty confident in my rack/decaleur designs. When I'm asked to go outside of my comfort zone, I light a few candles before horking down on tubing.
