Just joined a couple of days ago. Middle-aged guy from central Iowa.
I have a fairly wide range of cycling interests, and what many outside of this forum would consider too many bikes. I ride quite a bit of gravel and dirt. I have a soft spot for titanium and lugged steel, but I have plenty of carbon in my garage as well.
I've done my fair share of long dumb rides - Multiple DK/Unbound 200, Tour Divide, multiple TransIowas, multiple Gravel Worlds (including vintage class) and a 1200K brevet. These days I prefer 100 mile or less rides with friends preferably with multiple snack or beverage stops.
I have spent the past few years promoting multiple gravel races here in Iowa, but now I'm only promoting an event called Iowa Wind and Rock.
