Sounds like she needs a better cryo-pump or needs to leak check her set-up.
Sorry couldn't help myself. Too many years working with high-vac systems. @gugie and I have spent some time talking about troubleshooting problems related to this, everyone else left the room, not sure why.

edit: just reread this, I thought that was the spec. What's the spec?
ion pumps are kinda old school, but that might be what she has to work with. As SwimmerMike noted, a cryo-pump is how it's done nowadays. One warning, lead times on these are really long, but you can find them on eBay now and then.

next is nitrogen purge and then use ion pump

I'm back in Bloomington and just now at the computer. So for more of our regularly scheduled content:
