How Do I Add A Hyperlink To A Post?
Sorry to take up thread space with this question, but I can't find a "Help" button and I can't find an answer in the FAQs.
I often want to place a hyperlink in my posts, linking to an example of the item I am describing. I've seen others do this. Do I need a Premium Membership or something?

Write your post. Highlight the word you want the hyperlink to follow.
Click on the icon that is a globe with two little circles on the bottom.
A dialogue box will appear, paste your link.
Click ok.
That's it.

The problem is, I don't have any formatting icons anywhere on my page. I am using Firefox Mozilla. I wonder if that's the problem, as it always is.

Ok, I think I may have found a solution. Go to settings on the top of the page when you are logged in, then go to General Settings on the left side of the page. It will be under My Account. Go to Miscellaneous Options and look for this. . .
Click on the first radio button and that should work.

I think what you are wanting can be found if you go to the User CP by clicking on your avatar in the top right or use the drop down by your member name and select User Control Panel. Then look for Edit options in the column at the left and go down to miscellaneous and it's in the Message Editor Interface box.
Doesn't quite look like those old pics in this thread. So you'll have to read and not just work off visual matches.

Found it but using Google Chrome might be limiting me. It's set to the Enhanced Interface - FullCK Editor mode.
This site can be quite odd. At times I think it's quite bloated. I don't go on many sites but this is the only site I use with this overall site format.

StarBiker I use google chrome too. I don't have any issues. Although the ads were getting so annoying and causing issues for some things as they loaded. So I gave in and spent the small sum they ask for a 2year paid subscription with no advertising.
Still I'm not sure what your exact issue is. Perhaps you also need to see if you need to change the style, which is down in the lower left of most every page. I just use the default of BikeforumsNG. But you can also see in the pic what the quick reply editor pane looks like now. The advanced editor is much the same but with more sometimes useful stuff outside the editor window. At any rate, if this doesn't help, then please describe your exact issue. Don't expect us to glean that from the other posts here.
Also, it never hurts to shut down all your browser windows (except one) clear your browser cache, then shut down and restart chrome anytime you are having issues. Though most of that is just extra things I do to be sure.

I just do my hyperlinks manually.
Just pasting the hyperlink into a message will generally get the link (other than Twitter that it likes to hide).
https://Your_Hyperlink.com
https://Your_Hyperlink.com
This usually changes the formatting to:
https://Your_Hyperlink.com
That works, but it isn't particularly interesting. To add a title, change it to:
Whatever you want to write about the hyperlink
Whatever you want to write about the hyperlink
You can use the headline formatting if you wish...
Headline
