Is It Really That Hard, Wiping Glass?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes, it is that hard for some people .... the same type that can't ride no hands or put their water bottles behind their saddle so they don't have to "bend down".

Of course it's hard for some people. Not everyone has the same level of experience, confidence, balance, and sense of space. Some people might end up sticking their hands right in their spokes, or weaving off the road or into traffic.

I"m going to belittle my wife on our next ride because I doubt she can do this. She's such a fred. I'll come back here and tell you all about it.

Not everyone doesn't have full coverage fenders. I'll give the OP $50 if he can wipe the rear tire on my bike!

I used to do it until I got a bent, rusty horse shoe nail through my glove. Three stitches and a raging infection later, lesson learned. I'll stop to remove debris and put up with being labled a Fred. I don't race other than cross though.

It's not hard. Took me a few times to get comfortable a it. Allot of people just don't try or lack the handling skills to do it. Like riding no hands.

I've thought of hitting something on the tire so I check it visually before wiping.
