Last month was a record month for me at 235 miles.

This month the majority of my miles will come from commuting, because the rain and cold have come, and most of my riding buddies are fair weather riders.

I might bump the goal to 250.. we'll see.

Today's 34 mile /1,800' ride was kicking my butt on the last climb, which felt like it was never going to end.

[edit]
OK, I updated my prior post (mileage for yesterday was off). I'm in for 250 miles and 8,000'. Both of those goals will be tough for me to reach - especially in November, but I'll try anyways.

290 miles and 10,080' of climbing for me. Big PR for me as only two of those rides were pleasure - rest commuting. Looking forward for more to come.

Damn! Sorry to hear it, I hope you can recover well and quickly! So, how did the bike pull up?

As for me, 2 rides so far, a 25 and a 16 for 41 MTD.

Off to a very strong start. 4 days into the month, and I'm already over 50% done with my elevation goal, and nearly 40% done with my mileage goal. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, and I'm trying to make the best of it before the rain and cold come back.

11/01: 23.8 miles / 515' - Commute
11/02: 34.1 miles / 1,795' - Round-Trip San Francisco to Tiburon
11/03: 13.2 miles / 140' - Alviso
11/04: 26.3 miles / 1,955' - Early morning ride & Wine tasting up the hill

Goal: 250 miles / 8,000'
MTD: 97.4 miles / 4,405'

Hello All. I have been absent from the Bike Fora for some time now but I have returned.

I will put myself in for 520 miles for November 2012.

I did 48 miles yesterday and once I send off this post I will go out and ride some more.

So, 48 down, 478 to go.

11-1 1:08 on the trainer at LBS
11-3 32.1 miles with a PR on one hill climb.
Spent most of the mid-day in my shop building a table to use with my bike in a trainer. I'll put my laptop on the table and either watch Sufferfest videos or just plug headphones in and listen to a fast tempo playlist.

Finally got out for a ride today. Woke up and it wasn't raining so I grabbed the bike and rode. Not a great idea to not eat first though....I stopped at about 9km and had a tea and breakfast sandwich at Starbucks and then rode home for a total of 18km.

Nov. 4 - 18km

MTD - 18km

For October I managed to regain my stride and clocked in 200 miles (322 km) which is about norm for my daily commuting. Unfortunately I've missed that goal in the summer months (June-August) due to work, moving to a different apartment and vacation by clocking in less than a month's mileage in those three months!

Going off daylight savings time is going to make it very difficult to ride after work. Maybe if I get a stronger light?

Thanks for the kind words, I may try through my LBS. Shipping would be a deal breaker unless someone had the "price is no object" attitude.

I managed 56 miles today. My body was pretty much done at mile 48 but I had to get home so I had to keep going.

11/3: 48 miles
11/4: 56 miles
104 down, 416 to go.

I've been thinking the same thing. Many people ride with lights but I can't really bring myself to ride at night, even with lights.
