Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was surprised. But I'm behind the times. Time for a photo of my holographic track hubs.

Came across this recipe last week: Cobbler with a cookie-ish topping, super easy to make.

Had some strawberries to use up. Strawberry cobbler with homemade French vanilla ice cream.

'Twas good.

I'm getting fatter and fatter.

I had some fake DD coffee today (their hazelnut iced coffee), very satisfying in this heat and humidity.

Out last night in Park City was the best. Found (right out on Main Street) Bistro 412 a Frenchish bistro with an excellent wine list and very reasonable prices. In a town like this decent food and wine prices are very rare. And superb service to boot. Our only complaint was the restricted dessert menu, just a creme brûlée and blueberry bread pudding with a creme Anglaise. No pot de creme, no pofiteroles, no tarte tatin, no poached pears, etc. That was a little disappointing. Otherwise wonderful.

I see no reason why leftover strawberry cobbler could not be eaten for breakfast.

I see no reason why it couldn't be eaten for supper. It won't last until breakfast.

The Mrs. Is doing fine. She has been getting me through rides until recently but now her radiation fatigue has settled in and I've been helping her. In fact, neither of us slept well overnight so we've decided this morning to ride short. Besides today, we have rides tomorrow and Monday so we're afraid we may be overdoing it.
