It is incredible to see some of the angst and garment-rending going on amongst my red-team Yankee FB friends this AM. Some of it is hyperbole, but some of it is clearly heartfelt.
What sort of reality distortion field do these people live in? Seriously. Obama has been a bit of a disappointment in a few ways, but given the ****ty hand he was dealt and the grossly overinflated expectations of him when he was elected the first time, it's hard to imagine any mere mortal meeting those expectations.
If you look at him objectively, he's doing OK. He's not as good as Clinton (who was easily the best US President of my lifetime) but he's better than a lot of the other players.
And the communist/socialist stuff being thrown at him is clearly insane. In any other country in the world, he'd be right of centre. RIGHT! no real socialist party would get anywhere near the man. If he tried to replace the Canadian social healthcare system with Obamacare, we'd tar and feather him as a corporate sellout.
And don't get me started on the religeous right... if Romney had won, clearly that's God's work in action. But Obama won, and that's the work of the Devil?
If you accept the premise of God taking an active hand in determining the POTUS () how is it not the will of God that Obama won? Why are the preachers not declaring that clearly God has abandoned the GOP and the faithful must support Obama, given that the election results make His will clear?
Not enough faces, not enough palms. Yanks, your country IS effed. Not because of the President; because of the citizens.

My Computrainer is in. I pick it up after work.
Sweet Lob that thing is expensive. But if it keeps me below 200 over the winter it will be worth it.

Agreed. Surely people in Monaco have sickness that she can help address? You'll both be welcomed with open arms and you'll both be out from under the thumb of tyranny. Also: think of the well being of the little Solos to come.

Almost lunchtime and I've still yet to see anyone smoking weed. I'm even on a college campus, ATM.

Ohhh, the hilarity. (F-word warning, may not be SFW)
Some rides are so special, that we’re forced to make our black and white photos of them even blacker and whiter. If we were to tell you this ride was “fun” it would somehow cheapen it.

This morning I wore a union suit, jeans, long sleeve tee and gloves. Shorts and t-shirt this afternoon I think. Might have to go long sleeve tee, though.

I had to break out the merino long sleeved top, windproof vest and a pair of leg-warmers for my ride into work. I should just get away with shorts and the long sleeved top on the way home.
