What is this Masi Gran Criterium?

What is this Masi Gran Criterium?
I've been asked to get sell off this abandoned bike from our building's bicycle lockup.It's too small for me-otherwise I'd be riding it with my club.
Can anyone help me with when it was made & perhaps what it's worth? For instance, the BB shell says cinelli, with *147* stamped beside the cutout *M* --does this mean 2001? It has Campy groupo ---would this be *Chorus*? the forks are carbon/composite *Primo*. It seems to be in very good shape.
Any help would be appreciated.

It's very different, and not just because of the fork and gruppo. US? Italian? Is it a Masi? I didn't think the more recent ones had the modernized M in the BB shell. I've always seen the big capital M.

This doesn't add up. Nobody would abandon a bike like that. You say you were asked to sell off the bike. Who asked you to do it? Are you keeping the money from the sale or giving it to the guy that asked you to sell of the (perhaps stolen?) bike? Is it possible that the person who asked you to sell it doesn't want to get caught selling something that doesn't belong to him?

I have seen this M before, but it does not bring an exact memory to mind, it for certain has been repainted. If it was a Masi it would be an Italian subcontractor made subordinate model from Masi USA with a replacement fork.
I agree it is hard to imagine this bike being abandoned, at least without a really tragic story to go with it. That written, I have been surprised what people leave in storage units that later get auctioned off for unpaid rent.
One guy who would probably know is Jim Allen.

That BB is very close to the one on my nuova strada but I do not recognize the paint job.
How about some pics of the lugs and the brake bridge?
I don't think this is a GC. The BB on those was different. My BB below:

Well that could be but it could be a grand corsa as well as I suspect they used the same lugs. Mine is late 80's or early 90's based on the slx/sp tubing. Earlier NS used SL. Without knowing the tubing it is impossible to tell. I don't know if the lug design changed over the years either. But not a GC.

OK based on looking at early Masi NS's the BB is different for the early ones so I think this is late eighties early nineties Masi either Nuova strada. Still need to see the brake bridge. Looks like it had its fork replaced with a carbon one.
