Replacing freehub body
I have a FH4500 Tiagra rear hub. There is some play in the freehub (the cassette moves quite a bit if I wobble it by hand), and occasionally it fails to 'catch' when pedalling. I'm planning to replace the freehub body, but will I also need new pawls??

Don't assume it needs replacing; dried gunk can cause the pawls to not engage.
Try just cleaning and servicing it and see if that doesn't help...

You can - usually - replace complete freehub bodies. But just like freewheels, freehub bodies are rarely repaired on component level. I'd have no idea where to buy loose Shimano pawls for instance.
A little wobble is unlikely to mean anything functionally. Freehub bodies do their important work while stationary to the wheel.
If it truly bothers you, pulling the driveside wheel bearing cup and removing a shim might reduce the wobble.
Or cause the f/w to drag.

To answer your question, the pawls would be included with a replacement freehub body.
