Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

btw, I had an awful concussion in 1988 after crashing without a helmet. Bad nausea and I had to feel the wall to get to the bathroom for a week. It causes a bit of depression, like "what did I do to myself". It felt worse than the orthopedic injuries, at least for a few weeks.

Nice ride today, just 3 of us. Friend got a flat and I was elected to swap the tube for her, in the interest of time. I don't mind but her rim was covered in some gritty, oily slime which got all over my hands. At least I took my gloves off first. Found the thing in the tire and had a hard time getting it out, then it disappeared. She had what looked like electrical tape as a rim strip and it had moved around and was sticking out after the tire was inflated.

My other friend and I had put our bikes in some ground cover and the sprinklers came on as the wheel was going back on the flatted bike. Stuff got wet but at least I had a chance to was some of the crud off of my hands.

Friend promised to get a new rim strip and clean the greasy stuff off the wheels.

years ago my neighbor had a big garage / pole barn built … Amish built …

they stayed at his house during majority of the construction … (can’t recall how long - maybe 3-5 days ?)

I don’t believe my neighbor anticipated this

Absolutely. However I normally wait for someone to do something to judge them for, before I make the judgement. We all go the same way. It's something people should concider when they hire a contractor, it's part of hiring a human being. Do you have any idea how many times I got put in that position? Got fired because I was off looking for somewhere to ...relieve myself before the inevitable happened. Everyone was all up in a tizzy when it was Amazom drivers pissing in bottles. Construction work is like that everyday. Has been from the beginning of time. These people are trying to make a living. They aren't responsible for the contractual circumstances responsible for them being there. What do you think someone's going to do, crap on the floor? Like I said before. I'd drag up. Finish that sh47 yourself.

yeah I'm already getting symptoms, especially my right. I broke the ankle 35 years ago so it has range of motion issues that sets it off. It's sucks how frigging cumbersome I feel doing it. I'm heavy as f...! I'm going to ride tonight give my knees a rest. Try again on Thursday.
