time TWT pedals and shoes

Anyone here remember these? The pedals were pretty good, but the shoes were nowhere near as stiff as they should have been

One of my favorite road pedals, and I've ridden a bunch of different ones over the years. I had the white & red, three-strap shoes, after riding them for a couple of years with a few 3-hole shoes and the adapter plate. I recall the Time 4-hole shoes as being almost uncomfortably stiff. If memory serves, I had to add a thin insole to avoid foot pain.

Shoes are really, really personal.
