The long-ish wheelbase makes for a stable and predictable ride while the No.1 and No. 2 tubing allow for great road feel.

Nice build

sharing and hoping you guys are all doing well!!

By the way, your Classique appears to be a 1986 3rd-generation model, rather than a 1984 2nd-generation Classique. See: https://web.archive.org/web/20200221...Classique.html

Thank you for the insight that was helpful! I washed it and took it for a spin. Rides great shifts well. Probably will just use it as my commuter.

1987 Lotus Legend Tri

Was sad to see that the Lotus bike website is now inactive....

The attached PDF was the spotlight Tim did on my 1987 Legend. Bought it at a funky Buffalo, NY bike shop in 2011 for $100. I was looking for a basic commuter bike as I didn't want my good bike stolen. When I got home, I looked closer and realized that this was a quality bike.... Needless to say, I had to buy another "beater bike" cause I was worried this new one would be stolen.... Anyway, still have it and it rides beautifully.

File Type: pdf
