Are you looking for Tutti Frutti-Eddy Merckx?

It's too big for me. Pretty cool that it still has the Eddy Merckx stem and looks like Shimano 600 Tri-color gruppo?

On auction currently at Goodwill.com

Do post if you win.

Take Care.

Can anyone hazard a guess as to what size bike this is? Looking at the distance between where the top and down tubes join the head tube, I think it might be in my ballpark, but I'm far from confident.

Also, the bike will only ship via FedEx, and the listing gives the Fedex shipping weight as 287 (!?!?) pounds. Running the shipping calculator on the listing with my ZIP code just gives an error. I'd hate to win the bike for a good price and end up with an exorbitant shipping charge.

ScottRiqui if you go to Shopgoodwill.com and create a free log in you can then find this auction and then contact the seller. You can then tell them what you want measured and how they should measure the head tube, seat tube and top tube. You could also ask them for a picture of the tubing decal on the top of the seat tube. This way there is no guess work.

I have found when asked they do a good job of getting back to you with the information you've requested. You could also point out the error in the Fedex shipping weight of 287lbs and request a corrected weight so you could get an accurate estimate on shipping and handling costs. The provide a calculator to where you live which will then provide the cost of shipping & handling in addition to your auction bid for the bike.

To search for this bike use:

1993 Eddy Merckx Century Bike- Tutti Frutti

Hope this helps, good luck, last look there were I believe 5 bids and price around $106.00..

Thanks - I have a Goodwill account and have bought from them before, but I didn't know how helpful they'd be with questions - I'll give it a shot.

The frame was built in 1991 at the latest... If you show the manufacturer's markings, maybe we'll agree on more details - Tutti Frutti is unique...

It looks like a 60cm frame to me, maybe even a 61

Yeah, looks like a 58-60cm, depending on how it's measured.

Mix of 600 Tricolor and Dura Ace RD. Rusty bolts galore. Left brake housing looks completely corroded through from sweaty paws. Poor thing looks very neglected.

Much as I like crazy colors that thing looks like it couldn't decide what it wanted to be. A friend has a couple of the early '90s Merckx frames in the 7-11 color scheme, which looks okay. The frame may be worthwhile after repainting, unless that particular color scheme is somehow collectible. The purple and yellow almost clash just the right way (I've used yellow bar wrap on a purple frame and it looked good in an odd way), but that reddish paint ... meh ... maybe an acquired taste thing.

Here's mine. Rides great and I love the colours, pretty much the sole reason I bought it
