I might run these on the Bianchi....the MAVIC's and the Cinelli stem came in the post yesterday. I like the look and the curves on the bars better than the L.A. 84's, but not sure about the anodizing.
I will need to modify them for the Aero Levers.

MAVIC TT CRONO bars and C stem
Best, Ben

Hello,
I made some further progress today. I installed the brake cables, FD, and installed the MAVIC HB's. I am still trying to figure out how to get the Record index shifters to "unlock" and run friction mode....they are very difficult for me to figure out. I post a question on the "mechanics" section and hope someone there can help.
The Celeste bar tape should arrive next week and I am still trying to find a seat to use, I was going to use the Super Corsa SPRINT but I do not like the way it feels so I will most likely put it up for sale soon.
I am still looking for that elusive "ORANGE" 700c tire. AJI125
Best, Ben

It's starting to come together. Lattz

I decided to go with the MAVIC bars. I think the MAVIC'S better than the 84 Olympics, to my eyes they have better curves. I asked Malcala how he did his and I did have to modify them in a similar way for the AERO brakes....a few holes, however no biggie. icemilkcoffee

Is that by design where you routed the left lever to the rear caliper and right lever to front caliper?

I dont get notified if only "malcala" is entered in the text.

Miguel, Great catch, in my haste to get the brakes on I missed it the first time around....now if you knew how to help with the index shifters....

Left, Front
Right, Rear

Ben,
I believe changing from index to friction may depend on the era of shifter. Old reply from T-Mar here that might help, about rotating a serrated knob. Good luck!

Alex,
Thanks for the link, I read T-Mar's response and will give it a try in the am.....the shifter clicked down all the way down but I am not able to push it up like the Shimano Index Shifters that I have on another bike.
I don't want to force it for fear of breaking the internals and there is not much on the net for directions etc.
Anyhow many thanks,
Best, Ben

It's been a while since I posted any progress on the TT...I had some luck with the bar tape and found a close match, more green than blue etc.
I may use a blue seat and wrap but I have not decided yet.
I put the decals sent to me by AJI125 Alex and I like the way they look on the crank....I can't tell the difference in sizing, so I am pleased with the result.
Best, Ben

Maybe a blue saddle to match the cables.

Sorry for the out of focus!

I am almost finished but I consider it nearly complete, so I thought I would post some pictures. I need to get a chain and cables on in order to take it out for a trial ride...but it's close.

obrentharris thanks for the heads up on the tires!

Jmpierce advice on the tape.

AJI125 for the decals on the crank

Mad Honk for his generosity on that really narrow 18

icemilkcoffee for his encouragement.

malcala622 for his critique of the decal placement

Straightblock for getting me started
Thanks to All of you for your help and encouragement on this build.
Best, Ben
