FS: Vitus 979 54cm with Ultegra 6500 groupset

Here’s a very sweet looking Vitus 979 in excellent shape. The 979 is a bit lighter than its big brother, the 992, but it offers a more relaxed and less stiff ride. I think this is the lightest bike I’ve ever had (and I had a couple of aluminum and carbon ones, which says a lot about its weight). This one comes with an Ultegra 6500 groupset except for the FD and the headset which are Campagnolo.

Yes, I read that page some time ago! Lots of great info in there. I have no idea what year this one is from. My first guess would be late 80s. I emailed Vitus but ever since the company was sold, they lost the record of the older serial numbers. Let me know if you would like me to PM you the SN.
