Could have ridden into work today on roads no more than damp, but conditions are supposed be little short of Noachian by the time I can leave.

Those guys are racing. The guys I see aren't wearing that much gear but they do have helmets, knee, elbow, and wrist pads, at least. The street luge guys wear it all, though.
I was driving home from the store Sunday, it's about a 1.5 mile steady grade with stop signs and speed bumps, and there was a guy on a board coming down. He was shirtless, no helmet, and lying on his stomach. First time seeing that around the 'hood.

I was riding ITG (In The Garage) vs IRL last night, and tried a new route on Makuri Island which turned out to be gravel, so I stopped and changed to the Zwift Gravel Bike, which was faster on gravel but real damn slow on the paved sections. If Zwift had its wits about it, instead of merely making road bikes much slower on gravel sections, they'd send downward spikes of zero resistance to your trainer to mimic wheel slip. I know it would require a lot more sophisticated program, and I have no idea how to implement it, but here I am with a perfectly splendid idea and nobody will pay me for it.

I could look into this but with Ti you need to have a welder who really knows what they are doing. At this point I may just stick with cable shifting vs. bite the bullet and get Etap, I think the marginal rip-off cost of the SRAM eTap is less than the marginal cost of getting a professional welder to update the 12 year old Ti frame plus cost of internal wired Di2.

Only the disc brake versions are wireless. Also, the rim brake STIs don't get the new shape.
