DC church opposes bike lane.

I'm not sure where this should start out before it ends up in P&R but figured this would be a good place to begin.
Church opposes DC's proposed bike lane because ?rights of religious freedom?

It's a ridiculous argument. Lack of access to parking does not infringe upon their freedom of religion. They're grasping at straws.

Take a look at my response. It is #17 in this thread: https://www.bikeforums.net/advocacy-s...s-freedom.html

The original thread seemed destined for a one-way trip to P&R.

Fun thread. The church looks like a house. Kinda small for so many parishioners. And yes - destined to P & R, or other.

I'm sure someone rides their bike to church. What about their freedom of religion.

And they get tax shelter and are not required to contribute to the commons and they give a rip about their rights? Strip all churches of their tax shelter unless they can demonstrate they contribute to the commons at a greater rate than say.. 20%??

The path of "righteousness" is on the bicycle path to glory - in my new SUV, or Lear Jet. Sorry had to add this in. And yes - this is headed soon to P & R.
