Tubeless tires for a cyclocross bike
What is the easiest tubeless tire that is at least 35 mm to change that is tubeless for a cyclocross bike. Do tubeless tires need special rims? I saw a video showing the Mavic tubeless tire and how easy it is to change...

Unless you're using a Mavic UST wheel + tire combo, tubeless tire mounting runs the gamut-- some tires will pop right on and seat with a floor pump, some tires will fight you like they get money if they win.
Beyond that, the tire you use will be determined mostly by what tread you need. Semi-slick? Small knobs? Staggered knobs? There's all kinds.

I went tubeless because I didn't want to have to mess with my tires as often. It can be a project.

Are there any tubless tires that work with the standard rims that came with your. bike or are there special rims for tubeless tires?

If you feel like experimenting, buy some tubeless rim tape a pair of valve stems and some sealant and try it with the rims you have. I have a pair of non-tubeless rims I did the above to and they work great with tubeless tires. I have yet to have a tubeless tire that I could not mount by hand or with one tire tool, some take a compressor to get them to seal others seal with a floor pump.
If you are buying new get tubeless ready rims and tires.

My experience is with Mavic Ksyrium Elite USTs and their Yksion tires. They are sold as a set...as in tire and wheel come together w/tire mounted but not inflated. As I recall the front & rear w/tires cost me under $500 delivered. Setting them up, as in seating tthe tires and putting sealant in, was easy. They were inflated easily with a floor pump. I've done this for 3 road bikes so far. I have used them for about 4 months and they are stunning. In addition to zero flats, the are lighter, more comfortable and roll effortlessly.
