Hi there new here.

I just wanted to say Hi. I spend a lot of time over on Paceline forum but have found myself gravitating towards older bikes now and less of the new. I picked up a mystery frame and fork back in November and from researching this site it may be a Palo Alto or Lugged Ritchey ( I have the build blue prints from 1977 but no builders name). I will post pictures sometime of it.I find myself grabbing that bike more often then my newer stuff. I forgot how gratifying it can be to pull off a perfect friction shift. Anyway this looks like a great place to hang out.
Thanks
john

Another Welcome, @john903.

There’s quite a few C&V participants on this forum from the Pacific Northwest.

Hi John, welcome aboard, glad you found us, you're in the right place.

We need pics, good ones and plenty of them or "it didn't happen".

You can post pics to the album on your home page and they may get moved here.

Then you need 5 posts X 2 days for 10 to post them here, its an anti spam measure that serves us very well.

We can likely help sort out your mystery, its what we do, we have some of the best in business here.

No insult intended, but we are overrun with them and their all year riding conditions.

Welcome aboard, once again, we are a very friendly bunch here in the C&V gang. I’m a Northwesterner myself far northwest Florida. Sometimes referred to as LA, or Lower Alabama😏.

The Palo Alto/Ritchey sounds intriguing and interesting regardless of which it turns out to be. Looking forward to pics when you have the time.

Bill

john903 Perhaps I'll see you on the road sometime. I regularly ride the two-laners from Agnew to the Chicken Coop Road, salt water to Happy Valley. If you see an old bike parked in the rack at the Cracked Bean....it may be mine.
