I switched to upright bars on my Mercian over the winter and really like it for rides with my wife on rail trails. The paints lot the best but the I like the color so it will be staying as is.

Last day of the month. The Univega Grand Premio was my bike for Eroica CA in 2015, shown here half way up Kiler Canyon Road.
In spite of it being a nice rider, it hasn't been in the rotation much in the past few years and I'd cannibalized a few parts from it, but I put it back together last night and got out for about 20 miles today.

My recently acquired little Tommasini. I think it's a 1978. Oddly equipped with a 46/42 up front.

Hi folks. I'm replying here a day early, so you can post your brown or gold bikes during the month of March. Your bike does not need to be vintage. In fact, there is no enforcement of any rules in these threads. We like pictures of handsome bikes.

My 1972 Montgomery Ward 10 Speed that was used in last year's On The Road Again Challenge
Waiting it's turn on the repair stand, my 70's JC Penney 10 Speed Racer with mechanical rear disc brake
Shimano mechanical disc brake
Donated it to a local thrift store last year, but had this 1980 XR-6 Exerciser previously.

Gazelle Champion Mondial semi-race. Except for it being 2cm bigger (and thus better-fitting) it is exactly the same bike as the one I posted in 2018.

Does Root Beer Brown/Burgundy qualify? I have posted this bike on the Forum before: 1981 Casati Gold Line.

Trek 510, not sure of year '79-'82?, Love this color, but bike is way too small for me. Have not given this bike it the care it deserves. Came with 27" rims, currently wearing mis-matched 700 rims (Araya Gold anodized in the back & Saturne in the front). Stem is not actually out to far (confirmed minimum insertion line is more than an inch inside headtube) Don't know what it is supposed to be wearing, but my plan was to source a deerhead rear derailleur to match the front? Despite my attachment to it, this bike falls into the "frame doesn't fit pass around" category and/or will likely end up in the "for sale" section at some point in the not too distant future.
Edit - I am not responsible for that rear derailleur, was existing when purchased! Shifts great, but hurts my feelings every time I look at it.

My old ZEUS ( found at Fairfield bicycle shop in Victoria, B.C. Canada ) - seems they liked to do brown for their bikes! This was actually an incredible riding very responsive track bike.

This is not my bike. But I worked a dirty and neglected mess over for someone that gifted it to his teenage daughter that has an appreciation for older things.
