Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's a human powered vehicle. They are typically used on velodromes and flat roads for speed attempts. Without climbing, weight doesn't manner nearly as much as aerodynamics. Carrying and extra 20lbs at speed doesn't take near as much effort as wind resistance at 70+mph.

A better picture of the Propel would be great but still hot. And Trek is a not regardless of staging.

Trek-not. I dont like the black seat post/white bar (looks like a 1 piece provibe from the pictures?) I just don't like trek frame geometry.

Propel is hot even with pink pedals. Nothing wrong with pink. especially in cycling.

The way that Trek is staged with the angle of the pic, plus whatever is on the stem, really makes it look like there is a tall pole attached to the stem haha

it's a rubber band that holds the junction box, but the angle happened to have a pole in teh background which was in the right place haha.

The stem is a Pro Stealth Evo.

Yes the frame geometry of the Domane is relaxed, very relaxed. It is meant as my 3+ hr bike.

Both are hot, but the trek would really do better with a white seat post.

Propel is hot. Domane just looks too... compact, I guess, with the tall HT and the sloping TT.

yeah the 2013 model is a full black seat post, but the 2014 model comes that way. I could have gotten a white seat mast, but then the bottom section below the ring would still be black.

Hence the reason i also went with a white seat with the black trim. The white seat matches the cockpit, the the black trim and carbon matches the seatpost/seat mast.

both trek and propel are HOT. i like the RSLT team's approach of white bike/white seatpost/white stem/spacers and black saddle/black bar tape the most, but no question, as currently staged, the Trek's very hot.

So, some of you might remember my original Addict...

A couple of days after I posted that I discovered cracks around the bottle bosses. For reasons that are too boring to go into, I now have the original bike (repaired by me) and a brand new Addict R3 frame as well. Hence...

Mis-matched valve stems, saddle too far back, and the saddle looks "sad". I do like the hood positions though! Udder wize, nice bike. (not a scott fan)

Saddle position probably needs dialing anyway as I've not been on a proper ride yet, just home from work. The Romin Evo is also an experiment for me.
