dressing like a road racer, is it posing?
I was searching Ebay for some Trek stuff and found an auction for the entire cycling outfit from Trek. Bibs, jersey, socks, gloves, and hat. It looks cool and since I ride Treks I was thinking about buying it but didn't want to look like a 'tard. What do you guys think? I pretty much just ride around the neighborhood and down some back roads by factories.

Only if you wear it to Starbucks. Wearing it to IHOP is cool.

It's not poseurish if you're riding your Trek bicycle when you wear it.
That doesn't, however, in any way imply that you don't look stupid. Just sayin'.

i jam my thumbs up and back into the tubes. this way i can point my fingers straight out in front to split the wind and attain an even more aero profile, and the usual fixed gear - zen - connectedness feeling through the drivetrain is multiplied ten fold because my thumbs become one with the tubing.

Um, the bibs aren't used, are they? Eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww. Should be against the law to buy or sell used bibs or shorts. Would you buy used underwear, cuz it's the same thing?

I would buy Carmen Electras used underwear, but that is a different topic entirely. I didn't think that wearing the outfit would look 'normal' but wanted to check with the 'community' first.

I've never heard of this "Trek" brand bicycle. Is that some small South African marque?

Wear whatever you want - the biggest fools ever to pedal are people who give a rats behind what other cyclists wear.

Have your own sense of style and wear what you want. Who cares what anyone else thinks?
To answer the question though, yes it is pouser(ish).
However, I have a full Disco kit and my buddy (Cervelo Solist Carbon) rocks a full CSC kit sometimes. It's hard to hear the comments as people get further and further behind us.

Is this the stuff:
There is a red version too a little different. well at least its new.
The Trek/VW partnership is for MTBing. Its not too bad though, not that earlier comment don't apply.

I would give a road-biker sh*t for wearing that. It's a mountain bike team. I am rather pedantic, though.

I was actually going to wear it to IHOP next time the wife will go with me just to tweak them. We both hate it there but it would be hilarious to see what they say.
