Looks like the Racers I'm using at the moment (to get one of the projects rolling) are nutted, and I bodged things in place with washers. I'm riding fixed at the moment anyway - AND as everyone knows, brakes on a fixed gear is for woosies. . . . (to paraphrase BSNYC)
thannks!
ps - am i allowed to use the C&V section for non-C&V stuff? or is that frowned upon?

Pretty sure I have a derelict Dynohub someplace here from which I could salvage a bolt, if you're still looking.

09/09 EDIT — Found what I needed, thank you for all of the offers!
I am looking for an 8-speed Campagnolo (clincher) wheelset - Veloce would match the rest of the components, Mirage would also be fine.
I've once again received an Italian race bike, a mid-late 90s Bianchi Veloce. It's pretty much complete, except it needs a wheelset. I don't mind truing the rims or overhauling hubs as long as everything's in serviceable condition.

WTT for a Nitto drop bar (115 is the standard) with a 25.4 clamp size and 42 or 44 width.
Have a Cinelli 64-40 in decent shape, among other 1000s of handlebars. Soma, Cinelli, 3ttt...you name it I got it (except 25.4 clamp Nittos in 42-44.)

ISO a very good condition headset from a Nottingham Raleigh. Specifically, I need a crown race and lower cup, but I'm willing to part a whole headset in order to get this "new" 1951 Rudge Clubman rolling. Thanks all!

got the long reach calipers from one of the more insidious BF members.
still looking for BLACK open wide enough for 38mm (if such a thing exists) mid reach dual pivot.
also aero levers - preferably TEKTRO. Black.
sidebar- anyone ever paint Mafacs black?
I’ve painted a stem. Might paint my Mafacs.
Cheers

Looking for a couple sets of black dual pivot side pull caliper, wide mouth brakes.
A long reach set - with a real preference for the R559 Tektro. This project is a little long term, so no big rush. The project is a single speed to run either 700c or 650b wheels. So I need the caliper to open wide.
A mid reach dual pivot - black - brake caliper set. A whole different single speed project. But coming up a little quicker.
I don't think I want center pulls, but if black, maybe! I
- I got a set of Mafac Racers I could trade. Some other lower end, budget minded Shimano stuff. Seat posts seem to multiply when I close the parts bin lid.
I think most of this stuff in my parts bin is available. I might not have all the threadless stems shown: https://www.bikeforums.net/g/album/19619948
cheers.

While those old Raleighs used non-standard 26tpi steer tube thread, IIRC, there's nothing unusual about the crown race seat or pressed lower cup seat diameters. Can you measure your frame and fork to verify? If I'm right, it ought to be fairly easy to find a lower stack with similar height to the OEM headset.

Still looking Unca_Sam , but resigned to just using the clunky Shimanos I have for now.
I was intentionally being a bit vague with "nice", but I guess what I meant is powerful, well-designed (the ability to use modern pads would be nice) and to a lesser degree stylish. I don't expect Paul's from the trade forum, but some Tektro 720s would be nice.
I love a good trade, but they can be hard to work out. So I try not to get my hopes up too high. That said I'd be interested in seeing your MC70s cyclotoine. Thanks.

Banned.
Anyone have one of these kicking around? It's from an early 90's Ritchey hub. I could use the 100mm front. Got a complete wheel here which needs the skewer and is useless without it. TIA

Off topic, but I've been wondering how common (or unusual) is it for headsets to have o-rings like this?
When I serviced my new-to-me '83 Expedition headset this is exactly what I found and it got me wondering as I hadn't seen it before.

I bought a SunTour Superbe headset for my not-quite-full-Superbe Griffon, but I could never get it adjusted properly (out-of-spec? incompetent mechanic?). I replaced it with one of these Specialized seal-equipped headsets and have experienced no issues.
