Another Italian steel buildup. Thank you's within.
I could go on and on about how a few of you on this forum have inspired me to get into biking again. But also to build up a new twist on a cool classic frame I got for cheap: a 90's Concorde Squadra with Columbus TSX made by Ciocc. Huge thanks go to Rad, Viperz, oneradtec, fmw, caloso, old and new, to name a few. A year ago I knew squat about frames or parts groups etc but I've got the bug now (thanks to you) and took a while to find some parts I could afford that would fit my criteria. All steel, no carbon, all Italiano! oops, Speedplays on there now, so a little California too I guess. No offense to my Specialized, Shimano just can't feel this good can it?!
Special thanks to Cyclocrossfool for the advice after I bought the frame from him. Here are some pics from my roof. R&A cycles in Brooklyn did a great job on a setup and they were pretty nice too. I guess you do have to know what you want and they'll do it right. It rides like butter and I could never imagine shifting was this good or road feel this accurate. I wanted a bike that was fitting for all kinds of rides but not something too nice.... a la all record. I'm not worthy of that stuff yet. So here is the initial setup and it makes me smile. Still tweaking a saddle position and maybe a 130mm stem someday, but for now i like. I need to go hit the park again before sundown. Hope you enjoy some pics, in the spirit of the folks who take amazing pictures on this forum. Feedback is appreciated, as I almost forgot to put it in the big chainring!
90's Concorde Squadra team issue (made by Ciocc)
frame 'n fork - columbus tsx 57cm
steering - chorus, cinelli x/a 120mm, cinelli campione del mundo
drivetrain - centaur brifters and derailieurs, chorus bb, record cranks, chorus ultra narrow chain, veloce 11-23
wheels 'n brakes - scirocco / rubino pro's and centaur
cockpit - selle slr, centaur, fizik gel

Very nice. I've finished a few projects. I need to stop being lazy and post a few pics.

Nice all-around balance. This one just feels gooood.

It looks great!
I like the classic frame, done in a way that isn't retro obsessive. Really very timeless, elegant, clean looking setup. Congrats, and enjoy! See you around the park sometime...

Great shots, you can zoom into that crank shot until you can read the 'Brev. Campagnolo' on the chainring bolts.
Could you post a close-up picture of the seat tube/stays/seatpost clamp area?

Starclimber, I'll try to get some shots tomorrow morning when the sun is strong on my roof.
My girl has a great canon SD800 wide lense angle camera that works nice on these when there is plenty of light. I should also point out the paint is far from perfect as it seems they didn't use much of a clearcoat on this bike. So there are a few touch up paint marks but overall I'd rate it very good. Also, if anyone could give me an approximate year my frame was manufactured I would appreciate it very much!
Thanks! Rides so smooth and lighter than I ever thought it would be.
