Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just came home with a new FUJI Team Pro US. I am pretty excited, I have been been riding the old antique for a while and have waited years for a nice bike.

Anyone know what year this is? :-) I'm liking it a lot. Bought it for $35, and $80 later I have a reliable ride. New tires, new cables, a RD that hadn't been stepped on.

I am a newbie here. 5'6" weighing in at a delightful 271 lbs. I want to upgrade to a road bike (from my hybrid) but I am terrifed that I will break the bike! Any tips for me? New Open Pro wheels or something like that for a typical bike frame?

Any frame will work for you, but for wheels, go with some 36-spoke Velocity Deep V, or Velocity Chukker.

Spoke Protector, thank you very much

I love the Easton crank ... it's extremely stiff. The only problem I've had is you can't tighten the preload cap very much. Sbvo after loosing one, I make sure to use locktite.

I want to get a white seat to match the handlebars ... maybe SLR Team

Roger that... spoke protector
I run an EC90 on my Torelli Express and love the crank. True that, it's a stiff son of a gun.

^^^I like your bike. I don't know what it is but I like it. It's simple, clean, nothing extraordinary, but I like it. One more time: I like it.

Almost got sucked into trading my 06 CAAD8 in for a carbon framed bike. I really like my Cannondale so I opted stick with the old aluminum and give her some nice upgrades. It looks a little hodgepodge but I was going more for function than esthetics.

Put about 1 mile on my white tape before it was dirty... it didn't help that i just had a flat and had to change the tire then ride with unwashed hands.

LOVE the bike minus the headset even the the seat helps you pull it off. The blue will get dirty fast like my red does within 100 miles usually. But it's still worth the 10 dollars twice a year once it's gets too torn up! good job keeping the aluminum around. Nice choice

Wii-Mart- Beautiful build on that Bianchi as well. Everything came out extremely nice.
