Just want to confirm a thread size.
on a cartridge BB what is the thread size for the crank set retaining bolt?

Might be M47x1.0mm or 1.37"x24tpi.

And there are some others besides those depending on what your BB cartridge and BB shell is.

If you tell us what your bb is, then we can tell which one of those it is. Being that it's cartridge I might go with the latter of the first two I gave you. But there still are different threading for them. And if you have a french threaded BB shell, then that's a slight variation too.

I think the question is about the crank bolt, but yes, we still need to know what BB it is. Most common is the M8 x 1.

+2 For needing the make & model of the crankset. A photo would help if the model is unknown. There are a few variations of type of bolt needed such as an Octalink, or Square Taper BB and other differences.
