New Project:Cannondale SR500
My brother-in-law gave me this bike today, lightly ridden 1987 Cannondale SR500. Needs some work; looks like cables, tires, bar wrap, etc. All components look original except maybe the tires. Frame has some scratches but no dents.
It is going to be a summer project, the bike is a little small for me, might fit my wife.

Great bike
I have the crest version of this.
The paint will polish up well. The 105 stuff is excellent. I’d put on wider tires but other than that, it’s a great little bike,

Dress it up with blue cable housing, bar tape, and saddle, and it will be ready to participate in the local Independence Day parade this July!
Be careful removing the rear brake cable housing. The plastic cable guides, which snap into the top tube, can be fragile, and in the past (it has been a while since I needed to source mine) can be difficult to locate.
