Nothing Fits

I picked up my new Electra Cruiser 1 today and when I got it home nothing fits off my other bikes that I wanted to move over to the Electra . My set of nice platform peddles are 9/16 , the Electra 1/2" . The rear rack off one of my Schwinn wouldn't line up without a lot of fabrication . So, I'll have to buy new stuff to fix it up .
I like the bike , its an adult cruiser .
I did add a bike computer , a Cateye Velo 7 to it , I like to keep up with my rides .
I'll post a picture when I get my Brooks B67 I've got ordered . Should be here Friday . Kirby

B67 uses a modern platform seat post. I got a b66 for an old seat post but when I upgraded to modern seat post I needed the "brooks sandwich".

With the B67 I should be able to use the clamp off the Electra seat . We'll see .

If you have seat pins (post with no fittings) you can buy clamps to work with single, double or triple rail saddles. Micro adjust posts are the ones that require an adapter or a single rail saddle.

Thanks. I have several leather saddles....3 Brooks; Aged B17, a Flyer and the B67. The B67 is made for the Cruiser and feels more broke in out of the box than the others.

I too have tried the B17 , the aged B17 , and an aged Flyer . I'm hoping the B67 is the one . Thanks, Kirby

My set of nice platform peddles are 9/16 , the Electra 1/2"
the
1/2" comes on One Piece cranks there is the pedal extender . male 1/2"thd , Female 9/16"thd..

https://www.kneesaver.net/ecommerce/s...-adaptors.html

since many stationary bikes use OPC , these let you use any pedal [that does not mount only by the end of the axle]

Got my Brooks B67 this morning . It's not as wide as I expected , but after a short ride , I think it'll work. Too cool this morning for an extended ride . I'll wait until after lunch when the temp should be in the upper 50's . After looking at my pic , I think I need one of those Brooks saddle bags . Kirby

Update

OK , the temp hit 50 , so I went for a test ride . I had to raise the seat a little more for knee comfort while pedaling . The seat is as comfortable as any I've tried before , should get better as it breaks in from what I've read . Its tolerable for a 3 1/2 mile cruise . It actually felt better toward the end of the ride . Plus it looks awesome , IMO .
I took the rear bag off and ordered another . A cylinder type but made of black nylon ripstop material. I'll remove the front one when I get the new bag , I need somewhere to put my cell phone where it'll be safe .
I have a rear rack ordered and a set of retro pedals . Coming together nicely I think . Just in time for winter . LOL . Kirby

Broke in the Electra today . Me and a riding buddy rode on the Silver Comet trail today . Rode 7.5 miles out and then back . Total 15.38miles . The bike was great , and the Brooks was better . This is the Brooks saddle for me . It's been awhile since I've ridden more than 5 miles in a day . I've had health issues and haven't been riding . I was afraid I was going to be saddle sore , but I'm not . I maybe tomorrow , but right now I'm fine . I owe it all to the B67 .
This was my first trip on the Silver Comet . Great place to ride . Gentle rolling is what I would call it . I only had to stand once to peddle , to get up a rise onto a bridge , rest of the time I peddle while seated on my Brooks. Beautiful weather too, mid 60's when we started. Low 70's when we finished.
Wish the trail were closer to where we live , it took us an hour to get there , but I'll definitely be going back. Kirby
