It's worth closer to $1,400 than to $140, though.

There's 2 closeup photos of it, but the funny part to me is that the pump doesn't seem to be included.

maybe this has already made its way on here, but its a real head scratcher...looks like 3 forks made into a "bike". $2800...but its negotiable

My guess it could pop some wicked wheelies. It might be good for practising one's balance while riding on one wheel. Direct drive would also be helpful for maintaining the wheelie.

The bike does have some value for scrap... perhaps $10.
The guy has a number of other overpriced bikes too. Perhaps not terribly bad prices for beaters, but I wouldn't expect to be paying over $100 for a Schwinn Varsity that needs a complete restore plus new tires.

Exploding brakes
I hope I'm not griping about someone here, but this seems ridiculous. I noticed some Campy brake calipers and quick release mechanisms on eBay just now. Then I noticed they were from the same seller. Investigating I saw separate auctions for:If he manages to sell everything for his multiple BIN prices, he'll get $244 for what amounts to a $100 set of brakes which still need pads. Unfortunately, several of the items have multiple watchers. He'll probably be rewarded for his parts explosion. Frankly, I'm surprised that he didn't sell the individual springs and center bolts in separate auctions.

I suppose it is hard to find the parts if nobody sells them, so it is nice to be able to buy things like the Campy barrel adjusters separate from other parts. But those prices do look a little high.
The other thing that bothers me is the sellers who strip a bike, then sell the frame separate from the forks. I suppose if one is damaged such as broken forks, or a broken dropout, they get punished on the prices, and it makes some sense to separate, but if both the frame and forks are in reasonably good condition, then they should be sold as a set.

That said, I discovered after receiving it that my Medici had been crashed. I had the fork straightened and didn't bother messing with the frame.

Bottecchia Carbon Fiber Road Bike Frame XL 61cm | eBay ($170.50 + $24.95)
Bottecchia Carbon Fork Road Bike | eBay ($32 + $14.95).
I thought about bidding on it, but I don't need more projects.
It is my opinion that the seller would have done better had he sold the frame, fork, headset, and seatpost clamp together as a matched set.
Some things like a Colnago fork will command a pretty penny (at least asking prices), but sellers are still punished for selling the frame without the fork.

I sold a set of Campy Record calipers without the barrel adjusters as I thought I had picked the set up without them, digging in the box of parts several months later, I found 1 barrel adjuster which sold for $35 and change on eBay, so $44 for the pair is not crazy. I imagine people damage pieces or lose often and do not to spring for a complete caliper. Like a bike, if you have the buyers parted out is always worth more.

I have no problem with people selling parts of a larger component, especially if it was rendered inoperable or cosmetically unattractive by damage or corrosion. Nor do I worry that any of the individual BIN prices he listed are somehow out of line. In this particular case though, it appears from the pictures (and the timing of the auctions) that the seller dismantled a brake set which was actually in very good shape. I suspect the seller is just taking advantage of the whole being less than the sum of its parts.
A complete 1970 Atala was parted out on eBay in the past week. I know that sort of thing happens all the time. I bid on a few of the parts for my own Atala, but lost out on all of them. It is relatively rare (thankfully) to see individual fully functioning parts "exploded" in this fashion though.

I've see some nice tall frames sold without forks, bought a decent 25" 1983 Schwinn Super Sort frame sans fork. I've always assumed in most cases the forks have been robbed and cut down to replace bent forks on smaller frames. Or not.

And finding the forks to fit those tall frames can be quite an ordeal. At least that was my experience looking for something to fit my 63 cm Gazelle.

Head tube badge clearly says "Vista." And what is a Silverstreak anyways? They're just making stuff up as they go along. Maybe all this ugly spray paint will cover up the lies. *indiscriminately sprays over headset, stuck seat post, hub, spokes*
[h=2]Schwinn Silverstreak - $85 (north dallas, TX)[/h]Schwinn Silverstreak
Schwinn Silverstreak, not sure of the year but it's old. Selling with all you see in the photo.
I completely stripped the old paint off and primered and painted the frame and forks with spray paint specifically for metal. Since that time the bike has been sitting inside almost two years.
Measures 24" from crank to top of seat post.
Would make a great single speed.

Very true, I lucked out and found a really nice lugged, Chrome Moly, chromed fork with Tange fork ends.
