It’s hard to say that I have to many. But it’s becoming difficult to hide them around the house. I only know of two types of Minivelo available in North-America, Velo Orange Nutrino and Bikes direct. This frame came from China. The rest of the parts are mostly available locally since they are standard.

There's another company in TX called Kyoot bikes. I believe their frames are made in Taiwan. Not many reviews yet but the frame looks nice enough.

I have those bars. Moustache bars , amazon, around 25 bucks. Google bike handlebars and scroll long enough, you'll see them. Very nice, and they do relieve stress on the hands due to being closer to the torso.

Update to the Silverock build. First, I think I heard Ron Damon fall over his chair.

From an esthetic perspective, the less accessories would be better but I need a rack to carry my French baguette. The mud guards for when it rains. The sprung saddle for my derrière on the Montreal potholes.It’s an urban vehicle. The IGH makes it a slow but effective bike. Hence the 2,15x20 Big Apple tires. The front hub is a Velo Orange with 24 mm Alex rims. Note the alternating finish of the spacers on the head tube. The LBS thought it would be nice. I agree.

My Dahon Smooth hound is more my fast bike.

This is my first bike with disk brake. The stopping power is very noticeable even if they are mechanical. For me and urban use, hydraulic brakes wouldn’t be needed.

BTW the Steel frame is really nice, welds and paint are excellent.

Let me know if you wanna sell it. I could drive from NY to pick it up. Isn't there a Jazz festival in Montreal each July? Another reason to visit Mont Royal once again (while it's thawed out). July is lovely there from what I recall.

Its unfortunately the case for many frames aimed at the Asiatic market (including the gorgeous Tyrell).

Size is not the only problem, max allowed weight is often also too low.

This is a non folding frame, a minivelo. The frame is smaller than a regular bike since it uses 20 inch wheels (406). The weight and height specs are therefore similar to a standard bike. Many folding bikes are different due to their frame design. Long seat tubes and hinges are under more stress. If you look at a Tern,Dahon, origami 20 inch wheel folder you ´ll notice that the weight and height limits are much higher than for 16 inch wheels. The Dewy is Cro-mo steel, quite strong. I wouldn’t use it as a MTB but for urban use, I have no worry. Then again, there are limits to who can use a minivelo or standard folder. If you are very tall or heavy, this can be an issue. For me agility and smaller bike size are important. I’m 5’5´´ , 165 lbs so not an issue.

Small wheels doesn't mean bike for not to tall people !

Look at some Tern bikes with 20/ETRTO406 wheels, they fit till 1m95.

Brompton and Birdy with even smaller wheels also fit for people above 1m90.

Its mainly minivelo aimed at the Japanese market for instance (Japanese like a lot minivelo) that are made for people till about 1m75.

But the other frame can. For more than twice the price of the frame
Too bad as I think I would have ordered it next year.

Judging by the positive comment left by our ami from Montréal, he seems to be interested in this other frame ;-)
