Bikes as art

Recently I have been presented with the opportunity to buy a Trek Y Foil 66 in Inkwell Blue. My size, good condition, reputable seller, and most importantly in the best color. My wife has said last year after I bought my gravel bike I'm not allowed to buy another bike for at least a decade (only 8 1/2 years to go!). I plan on making the argument that this bike is not actually a bicycle, but rather a functional piece of art.

My question is: What water bottle should I get to hold my ashes so that I can be buried with it after she finds out?

Hah.
Just my opinion, but somehow I never found Trek's monocoque carbon bikes from the 90's and 00's to be very attractive. There was just always something midwestern clunky about Trek's designs, for me. Like, they were expensive and pretty cutting edge, but somehow maybe the combination of parts choices, shapes, graphics, etc. all just made them look kinda pedestrian.

Only one choice - they are pricey, better get permission.

If graffiti is art - another bike is easy to justify as integral.

But choose the right bike and the artistry is unquestionable

YMMV

just my opinion, but the Y foil is among the ugliest bike ever produced in the modern era, not only that, if it was a good design they'd still be making them
I own 5 Treks, 2 steel, one Al, and 2 carbon

I suggest going with your wife on this one, in 8 1/2 years you will realize how right she is.

Up periscope!

This thread needs follow-up.
How 'bout it @Ubie, Y-foil + bottle for ashes or acquiescence to SWMBO?
Either answer wins. As most of us have learned.

I wound up passing on it. There were a few red flags so I'll keep looking.
